Command Line Only
NTP and DNS servers cannot be configured for service engines via the UI.
Changes must be done on the command line using config user by entering the following: ssh config@xx.x.xx.xxx
With "xx.x.xx.xxx" being the IP address of the service engine you wish to configure.
For example: ssh config@39.1.10.210
Procedure
To change the configurations for NTP and DNS on service engines follow the steps below.
- Once authenticated, the following screen will display:
- Enter 2 to go to the Networking Options sub menu (shown below).
- To change the configured DNS Server. Enter 8 for Change DNS Server.
- Using this option, you are able to add, change or remove the DNS Server.
- Before adding a new DNS Server, Netreo will test it to make sure it is functional. If the server does not respond, the option to continue the addition will be presented.
- To change the configured NTP Server. Enter 9 for Change NTP Server.
- Before adding a new NTP server, Netreo will test it to make sure it is functional. If the server does not respond, the NTP server will not be added.
