Description

The Current Alarms dashboard widget displays a summary of all currently active alarms in Netreo.

Display Mode

This widget has two display modes, wide and narrow. The narrow mode compresses the tables and arranges the display elements vertically. The widget will automatically choose the correct mode based on the layout of the dashboard it is placed in. The following images show the wide and narrow display modes, respectively.

Components

The Current Alarms widget is made up of several panels, each outlined below. Click the name of a panel to collapse that panel.

Status Issues Panel

This panel displays a table listing devices that are currently experiencing one or more active alarms. The table columns are described below.

  • DEVICE
    This column shows the name of the device experiencing the alarm(s). The name is a clickable link that navigates to the device dashboard for that device.
  • STATUS
    This column shows a tactical overview-style status display indicating how many checks on the device are in each of the possible statuses.
  • ACTIONS
    This column provides buttons to access the Incident View dashboard for the incident resulting from the alarm and the device dashboard for the device.

High CPU Utilization Panel

This panel displays a list of devices that are specifically experiencing alarms related to high CPU utilization.

Low Free Memory Panel

This panel displays a list of devices that are specifically experiencing alarms related to low memory availability.

High Latency Panel

This panel displays a list of devices specifically experiencing alarms related to bandwidth latency. For each entry, the magnifying glass icon navigates to the Incident View dashboard of the incident resulting from the alarm. The device name is a link that navigates to the device dashboard for that device. The latency name following the device name is a link that navigates to the interface graph for that device. The value on the right is the current bandwidth latency value.

High Utilization Panel

This panel displays a list of devices and their interfaces specifically experiencing alarms related to bandwidth utilization. The device name is a link that navigates to the device dashboard for that device. The interface name is a link that navigates to the interface graph for that interface. The value on the right is the current bandwidth utilization value.

Highly Errored Interfaces Panel

This panel displays a list of devices and their interfaces specifically experiencing alarms related to interface errors. The device name is a link that navigates to the device dashboard for that device. The interface name is a link that navigates to the interface graph for that interface. The value on the right is the current interface errors value.

Other Variables Over Threshold Panel

This panel displays any remaining alarms caused by threshold or anomaly checks not covered by the above panels. As above, the device name is a link that navigates to the device dashboard for that device. The magnifying glass icon navigates to the Incident View dashboard of the incident resulting from the alarm. And the threshold or anomaly check name navigates to the graph for that check.

Configuration

Business Workflows Overview widgets are added to a dashboard on the Customize Dashboards page (Administration > Users > Custom Dashboards).

Only one widget of this type may be added to a dashboard.

There are no configuration options for this widget.

After adding the widget and saving your options, remember to save the dashboard for its display to be updated.
