Custom Maps
The Geographic Map is a simple and automated way to display the physical locations of the sites containing your managed devices. But, if you would like to visualize the locations of your devices and device groups in a more abstract (or more detailed) way, Netreo offers the option of uploading your own custom map images. These custom maps may then have pins and connections added to them to visualize the locations and connections of not only your sites, but of business workflows, and even individual managed devices.
Examples of custom maps in Netreo can be seen below. Note the pins representing device groups and the connections between them.
See Add a Custom Map to Netreo to learn how to add and configure custom maps.
Custom Maps in Dashboards
Although custom maps may easily be viewed directly by selecting Quick Views >> Map View >> Custom from the main menu, it may be more useful for some users to see a custom map contained within a custom dashboard assigned to them.
You must have already built a custom dashboard to which you wish to add your custom map. Then you can simply add the Custom Map widget to the dashboard to display your custom map alongside other data. You may add as many Custom Map widgets to a custom dashboard as you like.
