Article summary

Description

Considered the “home” screen, the Overview is the first screen you will see when starting the Netreo mobile application. It’s similar to the Consolidated dashboard in the Netreo appliance and provides a condensed view into the overall health of your network.

The screen is made up of four widgets (explained below):

  • Status Indicators
  • Active Incidents
  • Tactical Overview
  • Web & Email ART

Touching the three horizontal bars to the left of the screen title opens the navigation menu, allowing you to jump straight to the primary screens of the application:

  • Home (Overview)
  • Incidents
  • Tactical Overview
  • Web & Email ART
  • Settings

This menu is available from any of those screens.

Status Indicators

There are three indicators at the top of the screen displaying a simple good/bad (green/red) status. Their meanings are explained below.

Touch an indicator to open a "details" screen containing information regarding that indicator.

OC
This indicator displays the status of the Netreo appliance's connection to the Netreo cloud. If this turns red, Netreo cannot communicate with our cloud services and will not be able to send mobile alert notifications. This may indicate that the Netreo appliance has had cloud or mobile services switched off, or that your entire network is down.

Touch the indicator to open a "details" screen that displays the following information:

  • Status
Status of the connection between the Netreo appliance and Netreo cloud services.
  • Licensed/Used
The number of devices that the Netreo appliance to which this application is connected is licensed to manage versus the number currently in use. Does not include Lite or web application licenses.
  • License Expires
The date that the license contract for the Netreo appliance to which this mobile application is connected expires.
  • Local User
The Netreo local user account with which this specific mobile application is associated. Actions taken in the mobile application will show up in the Netreo audit log as being completed by this user.
  • PIN
The licensing PIN number for the Netreo appliance to which this mobile application is connected.
  • QR Scanned
The last date and time that this application was connected to a Netreo appliance by scanning its QR code.
  • OC URL
The FQDN or IP address of the Netreo appliance to which this application is connected.

HA
If you have Netreo appliances deployed in a high availability (HA) configuration, this indicator will show whether HA is available or if the cluster has entered failover mode. The indicator will be gray if HA is not configured. (Please see the High Availability entry in the documentation for your version of Netreo for more information.)

Cloud
This indicator displays the status of this mobile application's connection to the Netreo cloud. This must be green for the mobile application to properly function.

Touch the indicator to open a "details" screen that displays the following information:

  • Status
Status of the connection between the Netreo mobile application and Netreo cloud services.
  • Access Token
  • Refresh Token
  • Device Token
  • UUID

Active Incidents

The Active Incidents widget is located below the Status Indicators, and shows the total number of active incidents in each incident state currently occurring in Netreo. (An "active" incident is any incident that is not in the CLOSED state. Please see the Incident entry in the documentation for your version of Netreo for more information.)

The indicators display the following information:

  • TOTAL
The total number of all active incidents.
  • CLEAR
The total number of incidents currently in the ALARMS CLEARED state.
  • ACK
The total number of incidents currently in the ACKNOWLEDGED state (have been acknowledged by users).
  • OPEN
The total number of incidents currently in the OPEN state, indicating that they have not yet been addressed by any users and are likely new.

Touch the widget title or the TOTAL indicator to open the Incidents screen listing all active incidents. Touch one of the other indicators to open the Incidents screen displaying a list of active incidents filtered for the state selected.

Tactical Overview

The Tactical Overview widget is a condensed version of the Tactical Overview screen that shows only the first five device groups for each group type selected. At the top are buttons to select which device group type is displayed: Site, category or strategic group.

Touch a device group in the list to open the Tactical Overview group sub-screen showing a list of devices in that group. Touch the widget title or the ... at the bottom of the widget to open the full Tactical Overview screen.

Web & Email ART

(ART stands for application response time.) The Web & Email ART widget is a condensed version of the Web & Email ART screen that shows only the first five applications. Each application in the list shows a line graph displaying the "total application response time" for the past 24 hours, as well as average and peak (worst) response times for the same period.

The single allowable email application check is always listed after the other web application checks in the Web & Email ART screen. Unfortunately, this means that it will never appear in this widget unless you have fewer than five web application checks.

Touch an application in the list to open the Application Response Time Screen for that application. Touch the widget title or the ... at the bottom of the widget to open the full Web & Email ART screen.
