Re-Apply Device Templates After Editing

To re-apply device templates to applicable devices follow the steps below.

1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the SuperAdmin access level.
2. Go to the main menu and select Administration > Templates to open the Device Templates Administration page.
3. Select Rediscover devices and apply templates.
4. Select a functional group that contains all devices affected by your changes. (If you are unsure which group to select, choose Everything.)
5. In the table of devices that appears, manually select the specific devices to which the template(s) should be applied and a discovery poll scheduled, or select the checkmark in the column header to select all devices (see Device Selection Dialog for more information).
6. Switch the Run Auto Configuration Rules option to ON if you wish all selected devices to be run through the device auto-configuration parameters before applying device template settings. Otherwise, leave set to OFF.
7. Select Rediscover Selected Devices to propagate your changes to all affected devices. A message appears to let you know that Netreo has scheduled a discovery poll of those devices.

The discovery poll is subject to Netreo’s current polling queue and may take several minutes to complete. Please be patient.
