Article summary

Description

The Reboot Report dashboard widget displays either a list of devices that have rebooted or a list of devices that have not rebooted within the configured time period.

Display Mode

This widget has only one display mode, and adjusts itself to fit the layout selected for the dashboard it’s placed in.

The Reboot Report widget as it appears in a wide dashboard layout.

The Uptime widget as it appears in a narrow dashboard layout.

Components

The only component this widget has is the table of devices. This table includes the following columns:

  • DEVICE NAME
The name of the device. This is a clickable link that navigates to the device dashboard for that device.
  • LAST REBOOT
This is the date/time stamp indicating when the device was last rebooted. If this value cannot be determined, the device will be listed in the table of devices that did not reboot within the configured time period.
  • UPTIME
This indicates the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds the device has been operational. If this value cannot be determined, the device will be listed in the table of devices that did not reboot within the configured time period.

Configuration

The Uptime widget is added to a dashboard on the Customize Dashboards page (Administration > Users > Custom Dashboards).

Multiple widgets of this type may be added to a dashboard.

When adding a Reboot Report widget to a dashboard, there are several options that need to be configured before the widget can be used. After adding the widget to a dashboard, save the dashboard and then click the gear icon button on the widget to open the options pop-up dialog.

The fields and their descriptions are outlined below.

  • REBOOTED
This field determines which list of device is shown in the table. Select "Yes" to show devices that have been rebooted, select "No" to show devices that have not been rebooted.
  • WITHIN
This field determines the time period within which to check for device reboot. The options are:
    • 24 Hours
    • 48 Hours
    • 72 Hours
    • 7 Days
    • 30 Days

After adding the widget and saving your options, remember to save the dashboard for its display to be updated.
