Not strictly speaking. Although it is highly recommended to use a dedicated service account for the purposes of WMI management when monitoring Windows servers.
While a Domain Administrator account is the easiest to use, it is possible to use a non-administrator user account by following the steps in "How to Create a Non-Administrator-Based Service Account in Windows" on the Windows Device Monitoring and Management page.
