Create a new advanced report template

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. Locate the Report Templates table and select Create Report Template.
  4. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. In the Template Name field enter a name for your new report template.
    2. (Optional) In the Template Description field enter a description for your new report template.
    3. Select Create Template.
  5. Your new advanced report template appears in the Report Templates table.

Edit an advanced report template

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. Locate the report template you wish to edit in the Report Templates table and select its edit icon in the ACTIONS column.
  4. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Edit the template name and/or description as desired.
    2. Select Update Template.
  5. Your advanced report template is updated.

Add reporting widgets to an advanced report template

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. Locate the report template you wish to configure in the Report Templates table and select its configure icon in the ACTIONS column.
  4. On the configuration page:
    1. (Optional) In the EMAIL FORMAT section:
      1. In the SUBJECT field specify the text to be used for the subject line of the email.
      2. In the BODY field enter additional text to appear in the body of the email.
      3. In the FOOTER field enter the text to be used as the footer for the email.
    2. Drag/drop at least one widget from the AVAILABLE WIDGETS list on the left into the ADD WIDGETS section.
      1. Widgets can be re-ordered by dragging the three horizontal lines to the left of the widget name.
    3. After adding and configuring the desired report widgets, select Save.
  5. Your advanced report template is no ready to be used to build an advanced report.

Create a new advanced report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. Locate the Saved Reports table and select Add Saved Report.
  4. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. In the REPORT NAME field enter a name for your advanced report.
    2. In the TEMPLATE field use the drop-down menu to select a report template to use as the basis for the report.
    3. In the GROUPING field use the drop-down menu to select a strategic group type.
    4. In the OPTION field use the drop-down menu to select the specific device group containing the devices you wish to be included in the report.
    5. (Optional) Use the next drop-down menu to select additional filtering based on interface names/descriptions or interface tags and enter the appropriate text value.
    6. In the WITHIN field use the drop-down menu to select a time frame for the report relative to when the report will be sent to its recipient.
    7. Select Save Report.
  5. Your new advanced report appears in the Saved Reports table.

Edit an advanced report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. Locate the advanced report you wish to edit in the Saved Reports table and select its edit icon in the ACTIONS column.
  4. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Edit the advanced report options as desired.
    2. Select Save Report.
  5. Your advanced report is updated.

Run and view an advanced report ad hoc

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. Locate the advanced report you wish to edit in the Saved Reports table and select its run icon (eye) in the ACTIONS column.
  4. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Edit the advanced report options, if desired.
    2. Select Run Report.
  5. Your advanced report opens in a new browser tab or window.

Email an advanced report ad hoc to arbitrary recipients

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. Locate the advanced report you wish to email in the Saved Reports table and select its email icon in the ACTIONS column.
  4. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. In the RECIPIENT(S) field enter one or more email addresses to which this report will be sent (separated by commas).
    2. (Optional) In the MESSAGE field enter a custom message for the recipients.
    3. (Optional) Edit the advanced report options, if desired.
    4. Select Email Report.
  5. The advanced report is immediately run and emailed to the provided recipients.

Add a delivery schedule to an advanced report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. In the Saved Reports table locate the report you wish to schedule.
  4. Click on its schedule count indicator in the ENABLED SCHEDULES column.
  5. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Select Add Schedule.
    2. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
      1. Make this schedule active by switching the selector to Enabled.
      2. In the RECIPIENT(S) field, enter one or more email addresses to which this report will be sent (separated by commas).
      3. In the FREQUENCY field use the drop-down menu to select one of the preconfigured delivery time frames (how often the report will be run and sent).
      4. In the TIMEFRAME field use the drop-down menu to select the time frame for which the report will be run.
      5. Select Set Schedule.
    3. (Optional) If you wish to add another schedule to this custom report, select Add Schedule again and repeat the above process.
    4. When you are finished adding your schedules, close the dialog.
  6. Your advanced report will now be run and delivered according to the set schedules.

Edit a delivery schedule for an advanced report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Advanced to open the Advanced Reports page.
  3. In the Saved Reports table locate the report whose schedule you wish to edit.
  4. Click on its schedule count indicator in the ENABLED SCHEDULES column.
  5. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Locate the schedule you wish to edit.
    2. Select its edit icon in the ACTIONS column.
    3. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
      1. Edit the schedule as desired.
      2. Select Set Schedule.
    4. When you are finished editing your schedules, close the dialog.
