Create a new custom report

Follow the process below to create a new empty custom report to which you can add individual reports as sections.

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Custom to open the Custom Report Administration page.
  3. Select Add Custom Report.
  4. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. In the NAME field enter a name for your custom report.
    2. (Optional) In the DESCRIPTION field enter a description for your report.
      • The description for a report is displayed when you hover the mouse over the info icon next to the report name on the Custom Report Administration page.
    3. Select Add This Custom Report.
  5. Your new custom report now appears in the EXISTING CUSTOM REPORTS table.

You must now add at least one report to your custom report for it to be useful (see below).

Edit the name or description of a custom report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Custom to open the Custom Report Administration page.
  3. Locate the report you wish to edit in the EXISTING CUSTOM REPORTS table.
  4. In the ACTIONS column select the three dots (...) to expand the menu.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Edit the name and/or description as desired.
    2. Select Save this custom report.

Add a stock report as a section to a custom report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Run the report you wish to add to a custom report. (See Reporting Tools for the locations of various reports.)
  3. After the report has been configured as desired and run at least once:
    1. Near the top of the report, select Email & Schedule > Add to Custom Report and then select the name of the custom report to which you wish to add this report (or select Add to new custom report to create a new custom report to which this report will be added).
  4. The report is now added to the selected custom report as a section.

Edit the sections of a custom report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Custom to open the Custom Report Administration page.
  3. In the EXISTING CUSTOM REPORTS table locate the report whose sections you wist to edit.
  4. Click on its sections count indicator in the SECTIONS column.
  5. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Locate the report section that you wish to edit.
      1. To relocate that section within the custom report, click and drag on the three horizontal bars in the SORTER column.
      2. To preview the section, select its preview icon (eye) in the ACTIONS column.
      3. To rename the section, select its edit icon in the ACTIONS column.
      4. To delete the section, select its delete icon in the ACTIONS column.
    2. When done editing, close the dialog.

Run and view a custom report ad hoc

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Custom to open the Custom Report Administration page.
  3. In the EXISTING CUSTOM REPORTS table locate the report whose schedule you wish to edit.
  4. Select its run icon (eye) in the ACTIONS column.
  5. Select the format in which you wish to view the report.
  6. The custom report is immediately run and displayed in the selected format.
    • (Depending on your browser settings, you may be prompted with a download dialog if PDF is selected.)

Email a custom report ad hoc to arbitrary recipients

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Custom to open the Custom Report Administration page.
  3. In the EXISTING CUSTOM REPORTS table locate the report you wish to email.
  4. In the ACTIONS column select the three dots (...) to expand the menu.
  5. Select Email Now.
  6. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. In the EMAIL field enter one or more email addresses to which this report will be sent (separated by commas).
    2. (Optional) In the MESSAGE field enter a custom message for the recipients.
    3. In the FORMAT field use the drop-down menu to select the file format in which you wish the report to be delivered.
    4. Select Email Now.
  7. The custom report is immediately run and emailed to the provided recipients.

Add a delivery schedule to a custom report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Custom to open the Custom Report Administration page.
  3. In the EXISTING CUSTOM REPORTS table locate the report you wish to schedule.
  4. Click on its schedule count indicator in the ENABLED SCHEDULES column.
  5. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Select Add Schedule.
    2. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
      1. Select the checkbox next to the ENABLE option to make this schedule active for running and emailing your report.
      2. In the RECIPIENT(S) field, enter one or more email addresses to which this report will be sent (separated by commas).
      3. In the FREQUENCY field use the drop-down menu to select one of the preconfigured delivery time frames (how often the report will be run and sent).
      4. In the TIMEFRAME field use the drop-down menu to select the time frame for which the report will be run.
      5. In the FORMAT field use the drop-down menu to select the file format in which you wish the report to be delivered.
      6. Select Set Schedule For This Report.
    3. (Optional) If you wish to add another schedule to this custom report, select Add Schedule again and repeat the above process.
    4. When you are finished adding your schedules, close the dialog.
  6. Your custom report will now be run and delivered according to the set schedules.

Edit a delivery schedule for a custom report

  1. Log in to Netreo as a user with the Power User access level or higher.
  2. Go to the main menu and select Reports > Custom to open the Custom Report Administration page.
  3. In the EXISTING CUSTOM REPORTS table locate the report whose schedule you wish to edit.
  4. Click on its schedule count indicator in the ENABLED SCHEDULES column.
  5. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
    1. Locate the schedule you wish to edit.
    2. Select its edit icon in the ACTIONS column.
    3. In the pop-up dialog that appears:
      1. Edit the schedule as desired.
      2. Select Set Schedule For This Report.
    4. When you are finished editing your schedules, close the dialog.
