Description
The site dashboard shows health and performance data for a particular site. Clicking on the the name of a specific site in Netreo typically opens its site dashboard.
The default device group dashboard for all sites is "Site (Default)" and is found on the Customize Dashboards page (Administration >> Users >> Custom Dashboards). This dashboard may be customized to suit your needs or new site dashboards may be created and assigned to individual sites. See Custom Dashboard for more information.
For Netreo administrators, selecting the gear icon at the top right opens the configuration settings for that site.
Dashboard Tabs
Site dashboards include the following tabs:
- Overview
- Traffic
- Topology
- Trends
Overview Tab
This tab provides a general overview of the current health of the group.
When customizing a site dashboard, this is the tab that is customized.
By default, the following dashboard widgets are included on the Overview tab:
At the top left of the dashboard is the site icon representing this site. The icon appears in the color of the worst status currently being experienced by any of the monitoring checks on any of the managed devices within the group, allowing you to quickly assess the general health of the group. If the site status feature is enabled, the status of the site appears below the site icon.
Traffic Tab
This tab displays graphs and tables showing traffic volume through specified interfaces for the previous 24-hour period.
For traffic information to be displayed on this tab, interfaces on at least one managed device that is a member of the site must be tagged with the "Site Traffic" tag. If no device interfaces are tagged, the tab shows only the message "No interfaces configured by tag."
Topology Tab
This tab shows a visual representation of the managed devices assigned to the site and their connections to each other. Current device status is displayed, with additional information available on mouseover. Selecting a device on the topology map opens the Topology tab of the Device Dashboard for that device.
Only devices for which parenting has been properly configured display on the Topology tab. The display is the equivalent of the Site Topology dashboard widget.
Trends Tab
This tab shows trends (over the past year) in overall health for the group, as well as trends in device health for managed devices within the group.
You can restrict the hours of operation which are reported upon by selecting a new time frame at the top right and selecting View New Report.
Selecting the name of a specific device opens that device's Device Dashboard, while selecting the name of a specific device group opens the group's device group dashboard.
